A concrete pool is always worth the wait.

We had wanted a pool for a really long time – years, actually. We had started the process previously with other companies but there was a big issue with one of our trees. We couldn’t actually get a pool in because we had a large gum tree in our backyard that made it virtually impossible. In the end we managed to get the approval from council to remove the tree and so then we were really excited at the possibility of finally getting a pool.

We contacted quite a few pool companies to come out to quote our project. We already had plans completed so we were ready to go. I have to say I was surprised when some companies just didn’t show up, others we just didn’t seem to connect with. Then we met with Cronulla Pools and were impressed right away. They were really responsive and the quote was the most comprehensive one we’d gotten. Cronulla Pools weren’t the cheapest but they stood out from everyone else we’d dealt with because they were professional, passionate, transparent. That was a big tick for us.

Our pool is stunning. It’s a huge part of our backyard but we still have enough grass for my son to go and practice his soccer skills. So it’s just perfectly integrated in a sense, in the way we spend our time at home. I love our pool at night. We can see it from the kitchen and lounge room. It sits almost entirely out of ground and we installed a large pool window, so we see so much water. We even bought furniture for our formal dining room which highlights the beautiful blue accents of the pool. It’s such a feature of our home now, and creates a wonderful feeling. It’s beautiful.

Our pool is perfect for us – it reflects our life and also adds to it. The thing is that we were patient, we waited to design it properly. We also made smart choices when choosing a builder. Because we were so organised we could have just gone with the first quote but I’m so glad we waited to meet the right team.

Our project manager was excellent, Josh was lovely. We immediately connected with him. One of the great things about Josh and the team was how well they all coordinated with the other contractors we had on site. We were doing a renovation so it was crucial for us that Cronulla Pools could work with other trades, because it’s not like the pool build was the only thing we had going on. Everyone who came on site was lovely.
